FITCHBURG — A Lunenburg man has been charged with vandalism following an altercation on Circle Street where he allegedly smashed a vehicle’s window.
According to the Statement of Facts submitted by Officer Krish Kulka to the Fitchburg District Court, Nathan Miller, 44, of 571 Page Street, Lunenburg, used a baseball bat to shatter the window of 39-year-old Jason Gonyea’s car during a fight on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
“Miller and Jason were involved in a mutual fight, however they both do not want to press charges against one another,” Officer Kulka wrote in the Statement of Facts.
While both parties didn’t want to press assault charges against one another, Gonyea did want to press charges for the vandalism of his property.
After Officer Kulka identified Miller by comparing his Massachusetts issued identification to the RMV’s records, Miller was formally charged with Vandalize Property.
Miller was arraigned in Fitchburg District Court on April 24, 2024, after which he was released on his own personal recognizance with the potential for bail revocation under the condition that he stay away from and not contact Gonyea.
Disclaimer: If you are wondering why the incident in this story was from April, that’s because I had to file FOIA request(s) to get the court documents for the incident. FOIAs are time consuming.
