FITCHBURG — A 12-year-old girl who was in the custody of the Department of Children and Families died last Saturday.
According to Fox 25 Investigates, which broke the story through undisclosed sources, the girl’s unattended death took place at a DCF-contracted residential program called the Bridge Home, which is operated by the nonprofit organization Luk Inc.
According to the Sentinel & Enterprise, the Bridge Home provides residential placement, case/behavioral management and clinical services to children up to 12 years old.
The Worcester County District Attorney’s office is investigating the death.
