SOMERVILLE — On Saturday, July 13th, 2024, at around 2:31 p.m., Officers Priscilla Ribeiro and Keighla McAloney of the Somerville Police Department were dispatched to 18 Dartmouth Street after a man called in to report that someone was throwing glass bottles at him.
When the officers arrived on scene, they were met with the reporting party who said that he was outside prepping his motorcycle when Nelson Martinez Aguilar yelled “Mother F*ck*r!” at him from the porch and then threw a Corona bottle at him.

According to police, Nelson Martinez Aguilar, 36, is a resident of 18 Dartmouth Street, Apt. 1 in Somerville.
“The bottle missed and shattered on the sidewalk, feet from where he was standing, next to his motorcycle,” Officer Ribeiro said. “Moments later, Mr. Martinez Aguilar then yelled ‘Mother F*ck*r’ at him several more times and threw a second Corona bottle at him. The second bottle shattered on the sidewalk, in front of 14 Dartmouth Street.”
The reporting party then yelled out to Aguilar that he had called the police.
“Mr. Martinez Aguilar then walked down the porch steps and approached [the reporting party] at his motorcycle and again started yelling ‘Mother F*ck*r!’ in his face and told him that he didn’t care if he called the police.”
The reporting party stated that because Aguilar continued to get closer and closer to him, he spit in his face, and then reiterated that he called the police and they were on the way there. After this, Aguilar went back to sit on the porch.
“When I walked up the porch steps, I could see Mr. Martinez Aguilar sitting in a chair on the porch, with a box of empty Corona bottles next to him,” Officer Ribeiro said. “Mr. Martinez Aguilar stated that he was sitting on the porch when [the reporting party] came up to him and spit in his face then went back down to his motorcycle and kept revving it. I asked him if he threw a bottle at him and he said yes and repeated ‘Stupid mother f*ck*r’ several times, referencing [the reporting party]. He stated that he threw the bottle because he spit in his face.”
According to police, there were “many” Coronavirus shards on the sidewalk in front of 14 Dartmouth Street, where the reporting party’s motorcycle was. Police photographed the shards for evidence.
Aguilar was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
