WORCESTER — A Worcester woman is $4 million dollars richer after beating the astronomically low odds of winning the top prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$100X Cash” instant ticket game.

The odds of winning the $4 million prize in the $100X Cash instant ticket game is 1 in 5,376,000.

According to MassLottery.com, Laura Capalbo purchased the winning ticket on Oct. 8, 2024, at the Family Farms located at 98 Boston Turnpike in Shrewsbury.

She chose the cash option on her prize and will be receiving a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes).

Capalbo said that she will be using the winnings to travel with her family.

Family Farms is going to receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of the winning ticket.
