FITCHBURG — Police are investigating a late-night shooting that occurred on Caldwell Street Sunday.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 11 p.m., according to the Fitchburg Police Department. At the scene, they found one person injured. The victim was airlifted by medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester and was reported to be in stable condition early Monday.
No arrests have been made, and detectives are actively investigating to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
