โ€œI was monitoring traffic in the area of Ashburnham State Road (Route 12) which is in between Luangkhene’s address (325 South Street, Fitchburg) and a residence in Ashburnham that he frequents,โ€ Officer Porpora said. Later adding, โ€œAt approximately 6:45 p.m., I observed the vehicle travelling south on Route 12 toward Fitchburg. I observed a male party matching Luangkhene’s description operating the vehicle and a white female in the passenger seat. I caught up to the vehicle, activated my blue emergency lights, and conducted a motor vehicle stop on Ashburnham State Road, half a mile before the Fitchburg line.โ€

Officer Porpora said he informed Sergeant Nicholas Auffrey of the Westminster Police Department about the stolen vehicle and requested that he respond to the scene.

โ€œOnce Sergeant Auffrey and Officer [Erik] Salo from Ashburnham police were on scene, we conducted a high risk stop on the vehicle and detained Luangkhene and the female passenger [a 23-year-old woman]. Westminster Garage was requested to the scene to take possession of the vehicle. Ayer Police were contacted and declined to take the vehicle, so it was towed to the secured lot at Westminster Garage. Ayer stated they would be summonsing Luangkhene for the larceny charges pertaining to the vehicle.โ€
