Lawrence man, 66, killed after being struck outside of McDonald’s on Broadway by two vehicles

LAWRENCE — The Essex County District Attorney’s Office announced today that at approximately 9:08 p.m. Tuesday night, a 66-year-old Lawrence man died after he was struck by two vehicles while crossing Broadway near the McDonald’s located at 50 Broadway.

Luis Zamora Gonzalez, 66, of Lawrence, was struck by a 2014 Buick Enclave and by a 2018 Infinity QX30.

Medical personnel, along with police and firefighters from the Lawrence police and fire departments, responded to the scene. Upon their arrival, Zamora Gonzalez was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“Our sincere condolences are with the family of Luis Zamora Gonzalez,” Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker said. “We hope that they may find strength in community during this very difficult time.”

The Lawrence Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Office of Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker, and the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are investigating the incident.
