LAWRENCE — A 27-year-old man was fatally shot on Essex Street this morning.
According to a statement from the Office of Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker, Lawrence police responded to a 911 call made just after 2 a.m. on Sept. 13, 2025, and when they arrived at 154 Essex Street, they located the male victim, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
District Attorney Tucker’s office said the victim’s identity is not going to be released today pending next of kin notifications.
In addition to Lawrence police, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to District Attorney Tucker’s office, Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded to the scene.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
