Worcester man arrested for exposing himself to 3 juveniles in bathroom of Auburn Macy’s

AUBURN — The Auburn Police Department reports that on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., a report was received by the department that an adult male had exposed himself to three juveniles in the bathroom of the Macy’s located at 385 Southbridge Street.

“Detectives immediately spoke with the juveniles, located the suspect and then arrested Hector Diaz age-62 of Worcester for open and gross lewdness,” the Auburn Police Department said in a statement. “This investigation indicates that Mr. Diaz intentionally exited a stall with his pants down and genitals exposed, knowing that the juveniles were in the common area of the bathroom. The juveniles notified a store employee which resulted in a response from Auburn Police Patrol Officers and Detectives.”

Diaz was charged with open and gross lewdness and held overnight at the Auburn Police Station on $5,000 bail.

Diaz was arraigned in Worcester District Court on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Following his arraignment, he was released on personal recognizance under the condition that he stay away from and not contact the victims.

Diaz was also trespassed from the Macy’s on Southbridge Street.
