CLINTON — A New Hampshire man wanted on more than a dozen warrants across multiple states was arrested today after leading police on a pursuit through Worcester and Middlesex counties.
According to Massachusetts State Police, a trooper assigned to the Leominster Barracks attempted to stop a rental car with Virginia plates around 2:45 p.m. on Interstate 290 East. The vehicle had been flagged in a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) alert, and authorities believed the driver was wanted on felony charges in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia, and Maryland.

When the driver refused to stop and began traveling in the breakdown lane, the trooper terminated the pursuit for safety reasons. A short time later, police reengaged the vehicle on Interstate 495 North and successfully deployed stop sticks on the exit 67 offramp. However, the suspect continued west on Route 62, driving erratically.
The State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section worked with the rental car company to track the vehicle to Clinton, where the Air Wing confirmed its location.
Around 3:30 p.m., officers found the suspect in a wooded area near a parking lot by West Ledge and Berlin Streets in Clinton, where he was taken into custody.
The suspect, identified as Jaquelle Anderson, 39, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is expected to appear in Marlborough District Court on Friday.
