LEOMINSTER — On March 6, 2025, at approximately 7:41 p.m., Officers Tiffany Craven and Renzo Vasconcelos were dispatched to the Friendly’s located at 482 N Main Street following a report that a man was attempting to open car doors and peeing in public.

When the officers arrived on scene, they met with the reporting party, an employee of Friendly’s.
“[She] stated that the male party, later identified as Jermaine Heath was dressed in all black, with a hood on, and he was last seen walking towards HomeGoods and the Dollar Tree area. We then made our way over to the plaza, and a male party in the parking lot flagged me down, stating that Jermaine was inside Dollar Tree.”
Officer Craven said she was walking into Dollar Tree when a man matching the suspect’s description was walking out.
“I stopped to speak with Jermaine and asked him what was going on this evening. Jermaine stated that he was drinking, and he went into Dollar Tree to buy some food and then he was going to order a Lyft to go to Fitchburg,” Officer Craven recounted.
According to police, Jermaine D. Heath, 49, is a resident of 73B Manchester Street, Leominster, MA.

“I advised Jermaine as to why we were speaking with him, and he stated that he has not been breaking into cars, and he has not since the 90s,” Officer Craven said. “Jermaine said at one point, that he did urinate outside, but he did not think anyone saw him. Jermaine continued to say that he drank a lot of alcohol, and he did not remember where he urinated. Officer Vasconcelos and I explained to Jermaine that he cannot urinate in public; however, Jermaine continued to try and talk over us and failed to state that he understood.”
Officer Craven stated that she offered Heath the option to go to the hospital since he seemed “extremely intoxicated,” noting that he was unsteady and slurring his words. However, Heath declined any medical assistance.
“At this point, we advised Jermaine that his actions and his continuous yelling was disturbing the peace and if he did not calm down, he would be placed under arrest,” Officer Craven said. “During our interaction with Jermaine, multiple bystanders stopped to attempt to go around us, and into the stores. Officer Vasconcelos and I gave Jermaine multiple opportunities to order his Lyft and leave the area, but he would not comply with our requests. Officer Vasconcelos radioed for a third unit to respond and advised Jermaine to order his Lyft before the third unit arrived on scene, but Jermaine still would not comply.”
Officer Craven said that while waiting for Officer Mackenson Adescar to arrive, Heath kept moving very close to her, despite her telling him repeatedly to stay at a further distance.
“Jermaine appeared to become angrier as the conversation went on. Jermaine kept flailing his arms and aggressively pointing his finger at me, while raising his voice,” Officer Craven said. “Jermaine then turned towards Officer Vasconcelos and began clenching his fists by his sides and at this point, Officer Vasconcelos drew his taser and I placed Jermaine in handcuffs.”
Officer Craven said that at this time, Officer Adescar arrived on scene and assisted in gaining control of Heath, which allowed for her to check for tightness and double-lock the handcuffs.
Heath was then pat frisked and placed in the back of a cruiser. Officer Adescar then transported Heath back to the Leominster Police Department for booking.
“I then went to Friendly’s to speak with [the reporting party],” Officer Craven said. “[She] stated that a customer had come into the store to tell her that Jermaine was outside urinating on vehicles.”
The reporting party then went outside to locate Jermaine to have him leave the area, but he was found hiding in the bushes behind the building.
“[She] said that this made her very uncomfortable, and she wanted to make sure that Jermaine left because she leaves the building late at night,” Officer Craven said. “[Name redacted], a manager at Friendly’s, then came outside and helped move Jermaine along. At this point, [the reporting party] and [the manager] stated that they watched Jermaine walk into the plaza towards HomeGoods where he was actively pulling on car door handles, attempting to open the vehicles.”
The reporting party and the manager at Friendly’s informed Officer Craven that there were no cameras located outside the front of the building.
“I then went over to HomeGoods, and the manager stated that there are not any video cameras outside the building there either,” Officer Craven added.
