LEOMINSTER — The Leominster Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in the area of 555 Central Street.
Emergency personnel responded quickly to the scene around 2:24 p.m., according to a statement issued by Captain Vang P. Lee. The driver involved in the crash is currently receiving medical care. Their condition has not been released, and their identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.
According to WHDH.com, which sent a helicopter to the scene, the vehicle crashed into a brook.
The department is asking residents to avoid the area while officers assist with local traffic. “The safety of our community is our top priority,” said Captain Lee. “We ask for the public’s cooperation in allowing first responders and investigators to work without interruption.”
