Woman arrested after two men stabbed at Auburn hotel, police say

AUBURN — Two men were found with minor stab wounds and a woman was later arrested following a violent incident at the Comfort Inn on Southbridge Street, according to a statement from the Auburn Police Department.

Police said the department’s communications center received a report of a stabbing inside a hotel room at the Comfort Inn, located at 486 Southbridge Street, on Tuesday, April 29. When officers and detectives arrived, they found two men with minor puncture wounds. Blood and other physical evidence indicated that a violent altercation had taken place in the room, the Auburn Police Department said.

Both men were treated on scene by the Auburn Fire Department and interviewed by detectives. However, police said the men were uncooperative and refused to provide any details about the incident.

Meanwhile, other responding officers located a woman who had reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle. During a traffic stop on Southbridge Street near the entrance to Route 90, the woman briefly spoke with officers before driving off.

Auburn Police officers and Massachusetts State Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle as it traveled at or near the speed limit on Route 90 and continued south on Route 495. It was eventually stopped in Bellingham, where the woman was taken into custody by state police.

The Auburn Police Department did not release the female suspect’s name or the charges she is facing in its statement announcing the arrest.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Auburn Police Detective Bureau at 508-832-7777 or submit an anonymous tip via email or text to TextaTip@auburnmasspolice.org.
