Fitchburg man arrested for trespassing and threatening to cut guest’s throat at Motel 6 in Leominster

LEOMINSTER — On Monday, April 28, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Leominster Police Officers Mackenson Adescar and Matthew Chagnon were dispatched to Motel 6 on Commercial Road following a report that a man had threatened to cut a guest’s throat with a knife outside of Room 134.

Upon arrival, Officer Adescar reported observing the suspect, later identified as Allen Addison, sitting in the doorway of Room 134.

According to police, Allen D. Addison, 71, is a resident of Summer Street in Fitchburg.

“I approached him and asked him to hand me the knife, which he complied with,” Officer Adescar said. “During questioning, Allen denied doing anything wrong. While speaking with him, it became evident that he had been drinking; his speech was slurred, and he could barely stand without assistance from the officers.”

The reporting party informed Officer Adescar that the man Addison had allegedly threatened was waiting at the front desk. That individual, a guest at the motel, told police the incident occurred as he was walking past Addison on his way back to his room.

“While walking past Allen to go to his room, Allen looked at him and said, ‘I am going to cut your throat. Don’t come to my room,’” Officer Adescar recounted. “[He] clarified that he had never intended to go to Allen’s room. He stated Allen was holding the knife in his hands while making the threat.”

Dispatch later confirmed that Addison had been trespassed indefinitely from Motel 6 on January 8, 2022, by Officer Chagnon.

“I then informed Allen that he was under arrest for violating his no-trespass order,” Officer Adescar said. “I placed Allen in handcuffs and double-locked them for safety. Officer Chagnon transported Allen to the station for booking.”

According to the report, the knife was seized and secured in evidence locker number 001 at the Leominster Police Department.

Addison was charged with:

  • Threat to Commit Crime
  • Trespass

Addison’s arraignment was scheduled for April 29, 2025, in Leominster District Court.
