Sterling firefighters assist in Leominster crash that left one with life-threatening injuries

STERLING — Sterling firefighters responded to two serious motor vehicle crashes last night, including one in Leominster and another on Leominster Road, according to a statement from the Sterling Fire Department.

At 9:38 p.m., on May 15, Ambulance 2 was dispatched to Elm Street in Leominster to assist the Leominster Fire Department with a single-car crash involving multiple patients.

Sterling paramedics transported one person with life-threatening injuries to the trauma center at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

Later that night, at 11:17 p.m., Ambulance 2, Engine 5, and Car 1 responded to a motor vehicle rollover with entrapment on Leominster Road.

Firefighters from Engine 5 extricated the occupant, who was then transported by Sterling paramedics to a local hospital with minor injuries.
