“Dispatch advised that the female suspect had walked out of the store without paying for a shopping cart full of merchandise and fled in a black Chevrolet Cruze,” Officer Larson said. “While I was enroute I was eventually able to locate the vehicle traveling east on Main Street. I activated my blue emergency lights and siren. I stopped the vehicle on Main Street in the area of Woodland Drive.”
At this time, Sergeant Craig Guertin arrived on scene to assist.
“I asked the operator for her license and registration,” Officer Larson said. “The operator informed me that she did not have her license on her. I asked her for her name and she told me that her name was ‘Keishla Vega.’ Ms. Vega is the owner of the vehicle and a known acquaintance of mine. I informed the operator to step out of the vehicle and she told me that her name was ‘Dufault.’ I again told the operator to step out of the vehicle and I placed her under arrest for shoplifting.”
Officer Larson stated that he placed handcuffs on both of her wrists, and double locked them without incident. The woman then informed Sergeant Guertin that her actual name was Nicole Prizio.
According to police, Nicole Prizio, 46, is a resident of Lafayette Street in Worcester, MA.
“Dispatch confirmed that Ms. Prizio’s driver’s license was suspended,” Officer Larson said. “Ms. Prizio informed me that she paid for the items but did not have a receipt. Ms. Prizio also did not have a wallet or any way to render payment for the items she took from Walmart.”

Officer Larson stated that he then contacted an asset protection associate at the Leicester Walmart, who provided him with an image of the stolen items.
“Ms. Vega arrived at the vehicle and allowed us to open the trunk,” Officer Larson said. “The backseat and the trunk were full of stolen merchandise. Ms. Vega confirmed that the items were not hers, Ms. Vega also informed me that she did not know that Ms. Prizio was shoplifting. Sergeant Guertin returned the items to Walmart and obtained a training receipt detailing the stolen items which totaled $727.83.”

Officer Larson transported Prizio back to the Leicester Police Station for booking.
Prizio was charged with:
- Operating Motor Vehicle with License Suspended
- Shoplifting $250+ by Asportation
- Larceny under $1200
Prizio was released on personal recognizance, meaning she was not required to post bail.
She was arraigned in East Brookfield District Court on April 4, 2025.
On April 22, 2025, a default warrant was issued and a letter was sent after Prizio failed to appear for her scheduled court date. Two days later, on April 24, she appeared in East Brookfield District Court for a default removal and reinstatement hearing. During that hearing, Judge Maura McCarthy dismissed the charges of larceny under $1200 and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license at the request of the Commonwealth.
Judge McCarthy then placed Prizio on pretrial probation for the shoplifting $250+ by asportation charge and released her on personal recognizance under the condition that she stay out of Walmart.
Prizio’s next court date is scheduled for September 16, 2025.
Disclaimer: If you are wondering why the incident in this story took place in April, that’s because I had to file FOIA request(s) to obtain the court documents. FOIAs are time-consuming.

Wow, so this lady steals almost 1000 dollars worth of merchandise, drives away on a suspended license, lied about her name multiple times, receives no bail, defaults on her court date, comes in later on her own accord and has almost all charges dropped and receives probation. Ridiculous, how about some public/community service, maybe she should have to volunteer her time somewhere. This lady broke multiple laws and had zero repercussions.
