WORCESTER — Three men have been arrested in connection with a May 27 shooting incident near University Park that left a 21-year-old victim with a graze wound to the head, according to the Worcester Police Department.
Luis Ozuna and Raymond Leblanc, both 25, were taken into custody on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, and are facing the same charges as Lugardo Flores, who was arrested last week. All three are charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (two counts), armed assault to murder, use of a firearm in a felony, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.
According to a statement from the Worcester Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of University Park near the intersection of Illinois and Gates streets at approximately 8:09 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, following multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots.
Witnesses reported hearing 10 to 12 gunshots.
Officers who responded to the scene located multiple shell casings in the area, and two motor vehicles were damaged by projectiles, the Worcester Police Department said.
Shortly after the incident was reported, a 21-year-old victim arrived at a local hospital with a graze wound to their head, which is considered non-life-threatening.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
