Crews battle massive brush fire near Jungle Road in Leominster Saturday morning

LEOMINSTER — Fire crews from Leominster, Clinton, Sterling, and other surrounding towns responded to a massive brush fire near Jungle Road on the morning of Saturday, June 7, 2025.

According to the Sterling Fire Department, Engine 4 arrived around 9 a.m. and joined efforts to extinguish what was described as an “extremely large” fire involving a pile of stumps and brush. As of approximately 1:55 p.m., crews were still on scene.

The Clinton Fire Department also confirmed that Engine 6 with Group 4 assisted in water supply operations during the response, which drew companies from multiple towns.

No injuries or structural damage have been reported, though officials have not yet released the exact location of the fire or its cause.
