Bicyclist critically injured in crash on South Main Street in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM — A bicyclist suffered critical injuries this afternoon following a motor vehicle crash near 120 South Main Street, according to a press release issued by the Bellingham Police Department.

Emergency crews from the Bellingham Police and Fire Departments were dispatched at approximately 12:44 p.m. on June 9, 2025. Upon arrival, responders found the operator of the bicycle in critical condition. The cyclist was treated at the scene by Bellingham fire personnel before being transported to Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

The operator of the vehicle involved remained on scene and was also evaluated by first responders before being transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

According to Lieutenant Stephen Daigle, the crash remains under investigation by Bellingham Accident Reconstruction Officer Ryan Gonthier, with assistance from the CEMLEC Accident Reconstruction Unit and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

No further information was available at the time of the release. Inquiries regarding the case may be directed to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
