BELLINGHAM — A serious motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist prompted emergency response and a road closure on South Main Street this afternoon, according to a statement posted by the Bellingham Police Department.
In a Facebook post made at approximately 1:17 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, Bellingham Police reported that officers and members of the Bellingham Fire Department were on scene in the area of 120 South Main Street. The section of Route 126/South Main Street between Pulaski Boulevard and Mann Street was closed to traffic and is expected to remain shut down for several hours.
Authorities urged motorists to seek alternate routes and avoid the area while the scene was under investigation.
