HAVERHILL — The City of Haverhill has postponed its Independence Day fireworks display from Tuesday, July 1, to Wednesday, July 2, due to a forecast of inclement weather, according to statements issued by the Haverhill Police Department and Mayor Melinda E. Barrett’s Office.
“All the times of the event will remain the same,” the police department announced in a Facebook post published around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025. Police said updates on traffic advisories and closures related to the event will be shared on Wednesday.
The celebration will still take place at Riverside Park and will feature live music, “numerous food options,” and a fireworks show scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., according to a city announcement originally published on June 4.
