MEDFORD — At approximately 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, the Medford Police Department’s Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call expressing concern for an individual’s well-being.
According to a statement from the Medford Police Department, shortly thereafter, personnel with Armstrong Ambulance reported over the radio that they were with a victim suffering from a gunshot wound found in front of the Medford Fire Department’s headquarters on Union Street.
Medical assistance was provided at the scene, and the individual was taken to a nearby hospital. A preliminary investigation suggests the injury was likely self-inflicted.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
“Due to the sensitive and private nature of the incident, no further information will be released at this time,” the Medford Police Department said.
