MEDFORD — On Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Medford police responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.
According to the Medford Police Department, responding officers found the pedestrian at the intersection of Harvard and Winchester streets suffering from serious injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the pedestrian was walking west on Harvard Street and crossing Winchester Street in a crosswalk when a vehicle turning left from Harvard Street onto Winchester Street struck them.
The victim described the vehicle as a dark-colored, four-door sedan. Investigators believe the crash occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicle in the area to contact the Medford Police Department.
The Medford Police Department also asked residents and area businesses to review surveillance and doorbell camera footage that may have captured the vehicle traveling on Harvard or Winchester streets before or after the crash.
