STOW — On Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at approximately 3:55 a.m., Stow police and firefighters responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near 70 Crescent Street.
According to a joint statement from Police Chief Michael Sallese and Fire Chief Barry Evershen, first responders arrived on scene to find a Lexus ES fully engulfed in flames.
A preliminary investigation found that the vehicle struck a tree outside a Crescent Street home, rolled over, and caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
The Stow Police Department is investigating the crash with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
