CHARLTON — Emergency crews from multiple towns responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Route 20 in Charlton today, prompting a full closure of the roadway in both directions near Route 169.
According to a Facebook post by the Charlton Fire Department made at about 4:37 p.m., firefighters and police arrived on scene and requested mutual aid from both Sturbridge and Southbridge fire departments.
As of approximately 5:19 p.m. all lanes have been reopened, the Charlton Fire Department said.
No additional information about the number of vehicles involved, the cause of the crash, or any injuries had been released at the time of publication.
