Two Webster men arrested after loaded Glock with extended magazine found in Auburn traffic stop

AUBURN — On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Lieutenant Michael Tarckini Jr. of the Auburn Police Department was on patrol when he noticed a car driving along Southbridge Street without its headlights on.

According to a statement from the Auburn Police Department, Lieutenant Tarckini initiated a motor vehicle stop, and as he approached the vehicle, one of the occupants was seen frantically reaching toward the floorboard — behavior he considered suspicious.

Fearing the occupant may have been reaching for a weapon, Lieutenant Tarckini ordered him to stop and requested backup.

Shortly thereafter, Officers David Ljunggren, Matthew Laskes, and Detective Tyler Bresse arrived on scene to assist.

“Once the occupants were removed, Lt. Tarckini checked the area where they had been reaching,” the Auburn Police Department said in its statement. “Located right in the same area was a loaded Glock handgun with no serial number and a 30-round magazine. Neither occupant had the legal right to possess a firearm.”
