CHARLTON — A truck collided with a utility pole on Ramshorn Road today, downing electrical wires and leaving the area without power.
According to a statement from the Charlton Fire Department, emergency crews from C-1, C-2, and Engine 1 responded to the scene in the area of 72 Ramshorn Road, where they found a single-vehicle accident with wires strewn across the roadway.
As of about 12:06 p.m., the road was blocked as National Grid worked to remove the wires from the vehicle.
The driver was not injured, officials said.
As of the time of the incident, power remained out in the area with no estimated restoration time provided.
