ATTLEBORO — On September 30, 2025, at approximately 10:59 a.m., Attleboro firefighters were dispatched to 21 Milk Street following a report of a fire inside a bathroom of a townhouse unit.
According to a statement from the Attleboro Fire Department, when crews arrived on scene, they discovered that a bathroom fan had ignited, creating significant smoke buildup.

“Firefighters acted quickly to contain the fire to the area of origin and performed overhaul operations to ensure it did not spread further,” the Attleboro Fire Department said in its statement. “There was no damage to neighboring townhouse units, and residents were not displaced.”
The fire started in the bathroom exhaust fan, and its cause is currently under investigation by the Attleboro Fire Investigation Unit.
The Attleboro Fire Department reported that, during the incident, the Norton Fire Department covered the station, while North Attleboro firefighters handled a separate medical call in the city as Attleboro crews remained on scene.
