DUDLEY — On Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at approximately 3:37 p.m., Officer Tyler Smith and other members of the Dudley Police Department were dispatched to the Webster First Federal Credit Union on Airport Road in response to a reported bank robbery.
According to a statement from Dudley’s Police Chief Marek Karlowicz, when officers arrived on scene, they obtained a detailed description of the suspect and the vehicle involved.
Shortly thereafter, officers located the vehicle and detained a 17-year-old male.

“During the course of the investigation, officers executed a search of a residence and recovered the stolen money, along with a mask, clothing, and additional evidence directly linked to the robbery,” Chief Karlowicz said in the statement.
The juvenile suspect was taken into custody, booked at the Dudley Police Department, and charged with the following offenses:
- Unarmed Robbery
- Assault (three counts)
The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned in Dudley Juvenile District Court tomorrow morning.
“The investigation was led by Officer Tyler Smith with the assistance of multiple Dudley police officers. Additional support was provided by the Webster Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police,” Chief Karlowicz said. “The Dudley Police Department would also like to thank the staff at Webster First Federal Credit Union for their cooperation in providing critical information regarding the suspect and the vehicle, which led to quick apprehension of the suspect.”
