TEWKSBURY — On Tuesday, Oct. 7, at around 7:25 p.m., Tewksbury Police Narcotics Unit officers observed the driver of a Nissan Rogue appear to conduct a drug transaction near Main and Shawsheen streets.
According to a statement from Tewksbury Police Chief Ryan Columbus, officers ran the vehicle’s plates and learned its registration was suspended and it was uninsured before initiating a motor vehicle stop.

The driver of the vehicle, Pablo Pimental, 19, of Bronx, New York, was arrested at the scene and charged with:
- Distribution of a Class B Substance (Cocaine)
- Operating with a Suspended Registration
- Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle
At around the same time, officers approached the second individual involved in the suspected drug deal and found him in possession of 3.5 grams of cocaine.
The individual, a 49-year-old Tewksbury man, will be summonsed to court at a later date on a charge of possession of a Class B substance.
During a subsequent search of Pimentel’s vehicle, police located $500 in cash.
Pimentel was arraigned today in Lowell District Court.
