MANSFIELD — On Wednesday, Oct. 8, at about 2:10 p.m., Mansfield police and fire crews responded to Balcom and Otis streets following a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a Mansfield Public Schools bus.
According to a statement from Mansfield’s Police Chief Ronald Sellon, the bus was carrying approximately 30 middle and high school students at the time of the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 17-year-old North Attleborough girl, was taken by Mansfield Fire to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
No one on the school bus was injured.
“Students were transferred onto another bus and brought home,” Chief Sellon said in the statement. “Mansfield Public Schools immediately notified families of the incident.”
The crash remains under investigation by Mansfield Police Traffic Officer Dave Kinahan.
