LAKEVILLE — On Saturday, Oct. 18, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Lakeville police were dispatched to 164 County Road following a report of a two-vehicle crash.
According to a statement from Lakeville’s Police Chief Matthew Perkins, when officers arrived on scene, they were met with the aftermath of a two-vehicle accident that took place between Highland Road and Freetown Street.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 66-year-old man from Lakeville, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Both the driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The Lakeville Police Department is investigating the crash with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, and detectives from the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
