Three arrested in Webster traffic stop after police find fake soda bottle concealing 88 grams of cocaine

WEBSTER — At about 4:42 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, Webster Police Officer Nicholas Caruso was patrolling Lake Street when he spotted a rental vehicle driven by Krista Soldi, whom he knew to have a suspended license.

According to a statement from the Webster Police Department, Officer Caruso followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Harris Street.

In addition to Soldi, there were two other passengers in the vehicle, Jeremy Jack and Hector Champagne.

Shortly thereafter, Sergeant Robert Larochelle, Detective Tim Whiting, Officer David Brooks, and Officer Kaitlyn Brooks, were dispatched to the scene, where an investigation ensued.

Soldi was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. During a post-arrest search, officers reportedly found a glass crack pipe in her possession.

“A search of the vehicle was conducted, during which officers located small glassine [i.e., plastic] baggies, a box of sandwich baggies, and a digital scale with white powdery residue,” the Webster Police Department said in its statement. “As Officer Caruso continued his search, he found a bottle of grape Fanta in the front cup holder. Upon inspecting the soda bottle, Officer Caruso realized it was fake and located a hollowed-out hide in the bottom of the bottle. Inside, Officers located a large amount of powdered cocaine.”

Police said the total weight of the cocaine was determined to be approximately 88.3 grams. Jack and Champagne were also placed under arrest.

Krysta Soldi, 37, of Pleasant Street, Webster, was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking in Cocaine (36 grams or more, but less than 100 grams)
  • Conspiracy to Violate a Drug Law
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License

Police said that, at the time of her arrest, Soldi had five open criminal charges.

Jeremy Jack, 35, of Sturgis Street, Worcester, was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking in Cocaine (36 grams or more, but less than 100 grams)
  • Conspiracy to Violate a Drug Law

At the time of Jack’s arrest, he had approximately 100 criminal charges on his record in Massachusetts and New York, police said.

“Mr. Jack was on probation for stabbing someone in Springfield in 2024, of which he received a suspended jail sentence,” the Webster Police Department said. “Mr. Jack was released on bail after his arrest and did not appear at the Dudley District Court for his arraignment. He is currently wanted.”

Hector Champagne, 29, of Negus Street, Webster, was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking in Cocaine (36 grams or more, but less than 100 grams)
  • Conspiracy to Violate a Drug Law

Police said that at the time of his arrest, Jack had 11 open criminal charges.
