EASTON — On Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Easton police officers were dispatched to the area of 765 Turnpike Street (Route 138) following a report of a single-vehicle crash with entrapment.
According to a statement from Easton’s Police Chief Philip Adams, when officers arrived on scene, they found a 2021 Tesla Model Y in a wooded area off the southbound lane, fully engulfed in flames.
After firefighters with the Easton Fire Department extinguished the blaze, officers discovered the driver and sole occupant dead inside the vehicle. The victim was identified as a 20-year-old Easton resident. Chief Adams said the individual’s name is not being released at this time.
Turnpike Street was closed for several hours while Easton police detectives conducted an on-scene investigation.
The incident remains under investigation by the Easton Police Department’s Detective Division, the Massachusetts State Police, and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation.
