SHREWSBURY — Late Thursday morning, the Shrewsbury Fire Department, along with Shrewsbury police and EMS, responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 20 at Grafton Street.

Officials reminded drivers that wet weather dramatically increases stopping distances. “During periods of normal rain, braking distance is approximately 1.5 to 2 times longer than on dry pavement,” the Shrewsbury Fire Department said. “With the presence of wet leaves, it can more than triple the stopping distance compared to dry roads.”
The department did not specify whether any injuries were reported.
