“Upon arrival, we met with Gabriela Cristina Andrade, who invited us into her apartment,” Officer Kinahan said.
According to police, Gabriela C. Andrade, 34, is a resident of 175 Willard Street Apt. [# redacted] in Leominster, MA.
“Gabriela explained that she had been at her brother’s wedding the previous day with her two children, [name redacted] and [name redacted],” Officer Kinahan said. “She mentioned that her parents brought the children back to their place while she went home. When she tried to call her parents to have the children returned, they insisted on keeping them for the night. It was apparent during the conversation that Gabriela was intoxicated, which may be the reason for the grandparents’ decision. It is important to note that, before our arrival, Gabriela kicked open her locked door because she had lost her keys, resulting in an injury to her pinky toe, although she declined medical attention.”
Officer Kinahan said Andrade stated that her main reason for wanting her children back for the night was due to an ongoing family probate court issue, specifically that it was one of the children’s father’s turn for custody.
“She then demanded that the police retrieve her children from her parents’ house,” Officer Kinahan said. “I explained that we could not simply go to her parents and bring her children back, especially considering Gabriela’s intoxicated state and her inability to care for the children safely. I informed her that a report regarding the incident would be filed. After Gabriela calmed down, we then cleared the scene without any issues.”
Officer Kinahan said that about two hours later, he returned to the same address with Officer Washburn, Officer Gabrielle Larivee, and Officer Brendan Donahue, following a report that two individuals had been involved in a physical altercation with Andrade upon their return home.
Upon arrival, officers found a man and a woman outside with their 16-year-old cousin, who was visibly injured and bleeding from the nose. The cousin, whose live-in mother police identified as Andrade, told officers that after they returned home, he went to his room to sleep but was confronted by Andrade for not returning when she had instructed.
“He described Gabriela getting uncomfortably close, stating, ‘We were practically kissing, she was so close,’ which caused him to fear she would hit him,” Officer Kinahan said. “He pushed her away to create distance, prompting Gabriela to retaliate by punching him in the face multiple times. In defense, [he] fought back.”
Officer Kinahan said the teen’s female cousin, who was on scene, claimed to have witnessed the incident and confirmed that everything he previously stated about the altercation was true.
“After the altercation, [Andrade’s son] and [his female cousin] exited the home barefoot and explained what happened [to Andrade’s son’s male cousin], who called 911,” Officer Kinahan said. “After a brief conversation, I established probable cause to believe Gabriela was the primary aggressor, based on the statements from [Andrade’s son] and [his female cousin] and the physical evidence observed. Gabriela was placed in handcuffs that were secure yet comfortable and double locked for her safety.”
Officer Donahue transported Andrade to the station for booking.
“After I completed the Domestic Violence Dangerousness Worksheet and provided [the man] with his Abused Person’s Notice of Rights [form], he and [his female cousin] were taken to the hospital for evaluation,” Officer Kinahan said. “Their grandfather, [name redacted], took custody of the children once [one of the individuals] was discharged from the hospital. [Massachusetts Department of Children and Families] DCF [was contacted and informed of the incident.”
Gabriela Cristina Andrade was arrested and charged with the following:
- Assault & Battery on Family/Household Member
The October incident came weeks after a separate investigation by the Leominster Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau uncovered allegations that Andrade had also assaulted her 22-year-old ex-boyfriend, a Fitchburg State University student. Detective Oswaldo Ramos conducted the investigation after Andrade’s ex-boyfriend, accompanied by his father, provided a detailed statement at the Leominster Police Department on October 1, 2025, describing several assaults that allegedly occurred over the course of their relationship.
According to Detective Ramos’s report, Andrade’s ex-boyfriend said that Andrade had been his on-and-off again girlfriend since December 2024 and that her behavior became violent when she consumed alcohol. The ex-boyfriend, who said he had been diagnosed with autism and Asperger’s syndrome, described three separate incidents of abuse.
In the first incident, which took place during a snowstorm in late February or early March 2025, the man told police that Andrade, who was intoxicated at the time, began yelling at him and ultimately struck him across the face. He did not report the incident at the time, Detective Ramos said.
The second incident allegedly took place in mid-August 2025, when Andrade’s ex-boyfriend said that while she was at his dormitory at Fitchburg State University, he became ill after drinking alcohol.
“Andrade, who was also intoxicated, became enraged when a mutual friend, identified as [a female], attempted to assist [Andrade’s then-boyfriend],” Det. Ramos recounted. “Andrade reportedly smashed a dorm stall door, threw food (tacos) onto [her boyfriend’s] bed, and physically assaulted him by climbing on top of him and striking him multiple times. [He] did not report this incident to authorities at the time.”
The third incident allegedly took place from September 23 – 24, 2025. Andrade’s ex-boyfriend told Detective Ramos that while at Andrade’s residence, following at night out at Christopher’s Pub, Andrade, who was intoxicated, yelled at him for an extended period of time, and struck him on the head with a pink hairbrush.
After hitting him with the hairbrush, Andrade then punched him multiple times in the face.
“During this altercation, Andrade’s 16-year-old son was present and intervened,” Det. Ramos said. “[Andrade’s then boyfriend] left the residence and later reported the matter to Fitchburg State University Police, who issued a no trespass order against Andrade.”
Detective Ramos said that Andrade’s ex-boyfriend also said that Andrade had “interfered with his personal identification documents on several occasions.”
“In Spring 2025, Andrade allegedly destroyed [her boyfriend’s] driver’s license and Social Security card after removing them from his wallet,” Det. Ramos said. “The wallet was later recovered through the Leominster Police Department; however, the identification documents were missing. Andrade later admitted to [her boyfriend] that she had intentionally cut up the documents while intoxicated.”
Also in September 2025, Andrade’s ex-boyfriend said he had left his birth certificate at Andrade’s residence.
“Andrade has refused to return it despite multiple requests. [Her ex-boyfriend] indicated he has text message evidence documenting these exchanges,” Det. Ramos said. “[He] also disclosed that Andrade has threatened him and his friends on multiple occasions, including threats of physical violence. Andrade has claimed that she has associates who may target [her ex-boyfriend] or his acquaintances. [Her ex-boyfriend] expressed concern, but stated he was uncertain when Andrade’s threats should be taken seriously, as her behavior is inconsistent.”
Detective Ramos said that at the time of the interview, Andrade’s ex-boyfriend said he primarily wished to recover his personal documents.
“He did, however, acknowledge being a victim of domestic assault and expressed openness to pursuing further legal protections, including a possible restraining order under M.G.L. Chapter 209A, given the dating relationship and documented incidents of abuse,” Det. Ramos said. “[Andrade’s ex-boyfriend] and his father will consider pursuing this option.”
Detective Ramos said that the victim had text message communications with Andrade regarding his documents and the assaults, and may also have video recordings of their interactions at her residence. He added that Fitchburg State University Police records show a no-trespass order was issued against Andrade.
“I obtained [the ex-boyfriend’s] statement in the presence of his father,” Det. Ramos said. “I instructed [him] to forward copies of his text messages, emails, and any recordings to me via email for inclusion in this investigation.”
Detective Ramos contacted Gabriela Andrade by phone on October 2, 2025, to discuss allegations that she had her ex-boyfriend’s personal belongings. Andrade denied having any of his property, said she had searched her apartment, and declined to meet in person, leaving the investigation ongoing.
On Oct. 22, 2025, Detective Ramos said he investigated the claims made by Andrade’s ex-boyfriend at the Leominster Police Department on Oct. 1, 2025, and “following review of statements, supporting documentation, and corroborating evidence,” he determined there was sufficient cause to believe that Gabriela Andrade committed the offense(s) of Domestic Assault and Battery upon [her ex-boyfriend].”
On Oct. 22, 2025, a summons was issued for Gabriela Andrade on the following charges:
- Domestic Assault & Battery (two counts)
Andrade was scheduled to be arraigned in Leominster District Court for the Oct. 19, 2025, incident on Oct. 20, 2025. On Oct. 20, 2025, a default warrant was issued for her arrest because she didn’t appear for her arraignment.
On October 30, 2025, the default warrant for Andrade’s arrest was recalled after she appeared before Judge Mark Noonan in Leominster District Court and was arraigned on the charge stemming from the October 19, 2025 incident. That same day, Andrade was also arraigned in the separate case connected to the October 22, 2025 summons, which charged her with two counts of assault and battery on a family or household member for earlier alleged incidents involving her former boyfriend.
During her arraignment, Judge Mark Noonan appointed a court-appointed defense attorney and set bail at $1,000 cash. Following her arraignment, Andrade was released on bail and ordered to wear a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet under the condition that she remain drug/alcohol free and refrain from abusing the victim.
Her next court appearance in both cases is a pretrial conference scheduled for December 18, 2025, in Leominster District Court.
