ATTLEBORO — On Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Attleboro firefighters were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle crash on South Avenue near Greenfield Street.

According to a statement from the Attleboro Fire Department, when crews arrived on scene, they found two vehicles with heavy front-end damage. Each vehicle was occupied only by its driver.
One driver was able to get out without assistance and was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the second driver, who was transported with advanced life support to Rhode Island Hospital.

Both lanes of South Avenue were closed following the crash.
The Attleboro Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
