LEOMINSTER — On Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at approximately 5:10 p.m., Officer Tiffany Beaupre and Officer Mackenson Adescar of the Leominster Police Department were dispatched to Verizon at 975 Merriam Avenue following a report of a disturbance.

“Dispatch informed officers that the reporting party stated that there was a white male party, approximately 5’9”, in a gray sweatshirt, who was yelling and causing a disturbance inside the store,” Officer Beaupre said.
Officer Beaupre said that upon arrival, she activated her body-worn camera and entered Verizon to speak with the reporting party, a Verizon employee identified as Jacob [last name redacted]. She said a male party standing to the left of Jacob matched the description of the individual in question and was later identified as Nicholas DeMeulle.
According to police, Nicholas DeMeulle, 40, is a resident of Fitchburg, MA.
“When Nicholas realized officers responded on his behalf, he threw his arms in the air and stated, ‘I just walked in,’ in a raised voice,” Officer Beaupre said.
Officer Beaupre said that, at this time, Officer Adescar escorted DeMeulle outside to speak with him further, while she remained inside the store to speak with Jacob.
“Jacob stated that he had called 911 because Nicholas had been ‘very threatening’ to him over the phone and when he came to the store, Nicholas ran towards him, where he was sitting at the help desk,” Officer Beaupre said. “Jacob stated that, over the phone, Nicholas called him a ‘mother-effer’ and was ‘being really crazy,’ and asked what his name was because he was coming down to see him ‘face to face.’
Officer Beaupre said Jacob told her that when DeMeulle eventually entered the store, he cut the line of customers and ran toward him.
“Jacob stated that he was ‘a little nervous,’ and when Nicholas ran towards him, he cut the line of customers waiting and was causing a disturbance by yelling and demanding service,” Officer Beaupre said. “Jacob stated that he did not know what Nicholas’ intentions were when he ran into the store towards him. When asked, Jacob stated that he went into the back room to call 911 because he felt ‘unsafe.’”
Officer Beaupre said she asked Jacob whether he wanted DeMeulle trespassed, and he ultimately said yes for one year.
“Please note that during this time, there were multiple customers in the store,” Officer Beaupre said.
Officer Beaupre then went outside where Officer Adescar was to speak with DeMeulle. When Officer Beaupre asked DeMeulle to explain what had transpired that evening, he told her that he was not going to be repeating himself because he had already spoken with Officer Adescar.
“Nicholas stated that Jacob had ‘called the cops for no reason’ and he had called his wife so she could help explain the situation,” Officer Beaupre said. “Officer Adescar was on the phone with Nicholas’ wife when I had asked for his information. Please note that Officer Adescar had previously asked for his information, and he repeatedly declined to give it to him. I had informed Nicholas and Officer Adescar that Nicholas was being trespassed from this Verizon location for one year, and was informed that he could go to other Verizon locations, but could not come back to this location.”
Officer Beaupre said that after both she and Officer Adescar asked for DeMeulle’s information again, he declined, appeared to become agitated, and began yelling.
“Please note during this interaction, that there are multiple establishments open where patrons are walking in and out of stores, stopping and staring at the alarming scene that Nicholas was creating for no apparent reason,” Officer Beaupre said.
The officers then informed DeMeulle that he was being detained and not free to leave at this time.
“Nicholas continued to state that he was leaving, and he was not going to provide us with the information we were requesting,” Officer DeMeulle said.
Officer Adescar stated to Nicholas that this was the last warning and he would be placed under arrest if he did not comply, Officer Beaupre said.
“Nicholas began walking in my direction when Officer Adescar grabbed onto Nicholas’ right arm, and I had attempted to take control of Nicholas’ left arm, in an attempt to gain immediate control of Nicholas, but Nicholas was extremely agitated and began flailing his arms,” Officer Beaupre said. “Due to Nicholas physically resisting officers’ attempts at placing him in handcuffs by pulling away and flailing his arms uncontrollably, officers fell to the ground.”
Officer Beaupre said she and Officer Adescar continued giving DeMeulle commands while they were all on the ground.
“Nicholas continued to fail to comply with both verbal commands and physical attempts by officers to place gain control of him and place him in handcuffs,” Officer Beaupre said. “Nicholas did not comply until Officer Adescar stated that he was going to be tased if he did not stop resisting.”
Officer Beaupre said that after DeMeulle was on his stomach, Officer Adescar assisted her in handcuffing him, and she checked the cuffs for tightness and double-locked them for safety. The officers then assisted DeMeulle to his feet. Officer Adescar then searched DeMeulle and escorted him to his cruiser for transport to the Leominster Police Department for booking.
“Please note that Nicholas has a Massachusetts ID only, and his license is revoked,” Officer Beaupre said. “Nicholas’ girlfriend [name redacted] came into the lobby of the Leominster Police Department requesting the car keys from Nicholas because he had driven her Chevy Avalanche to Verizon. Note that Nicholas stated to Officer Adescar that he had been drinking this evening, and he walked to Verizon, this was disputed by the fact that Stacy stated that he drove her car.”
Nicholas DeMeulle was arrested and charged with the following:
• Assault (for running at Jacob)
• Disorderly Conduct (for yelling outside the front of Verizon, Officer Beaupre said)
• Disturbing the Peace (for yelling outside the front of Verizon, Officer Beaupre said)
• Resist Arrest
DeMeulle was arraigned in Leominster District Court on Nov. 20, 2025. Following his arraignment, he was released on personal recognizance under the condition that he remain alcohol free and stay away from Verizon on Merriam Avenue in Leominster.
DeMeulle’s next court date is a pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 8, 2026.
Disclaimer: If you are wondering why the arrest in this story took place in November, that’s because I had to file FOIA request(s) to obtain the court documents. FOIAs are time-consuming.
