AYER โ On Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., Sergeant Timothy Ialeggio of the Ayer Police Department reported that he was in the parking lot of the Ayer Shop โN Save when he observed a man he recognized as Mark Stacey walking in the parking lot of the Nashoba Valley Inn & Suites.

โMark Stacey is wanted on four outstanding straight warrants all issued on Oct. 31, 2025, out of Fitchburg District and Marlboro District Court,โ Sgt. Ialeggio said. โI exited my cruiser and made contact with the male party who I confirmed to be Mark.โ
At around this time, Officers Jacob Noll and Andrew Gambrell arrived on scene.
โDispatch confirmed the four warrants as active and Mark was taken into custody without incident,โ Sgt. Ialeggio said.
According to police, Mark McKnight Stacey, 48, is a resident of Shirley, MA.
Sergeant Ialeggio said that Stacey was transported to the Ayer Police Department where he was fingerprinted, booked without incident, and then placed in a holding cell.
โBail Commissioner Charlene McCormack ordered Mark held without bail. I transported Mark to Billerica House of Corrections at 3:45 p.m.,โ Sgt. Ialeggio said.
Staceyโs arraignment was scheduled for Nov. 3, 2025, in Ayer District Court.
