Winchester man arrested in Tewksbury on cocaine trafficking, drug distribution charges

TEWKSBURY — On Wednesday, Tewksbury police arrested a 29-year-old Winchester man on charges including drug distribution and trafficking in cocaine.

According to a statement from Tewksbury Police Chief Ryan Columbus, the arrest followed an investigation conducted by the Tewksbury Police Department Criminal Investigations Division Narcotics Unit and the Merrimack Valley Anti Crime Task Force in the area of Ames Hill Drive. Chief Columbus said investigators determined Dahryun Prophete had been distributing drugs in the area and arrested him without incident on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026.

Dahryun Prophete, 29, of Winchester, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Distribution of a Class B drug, subsequent offense (two counts)
  • Possess with intent to distribute Class B drug, subsequent offense
  • Trafficking in 18 grams or more of cocaine
  • Operating motor vehicle with suspended license

Chief Columbus said police recovered more than 23.1 grams of cocaine during the arrest.

Prophete was scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court today.
