State police helicopter, drones assist in search for person in crisis in Clinton

CLINTON — Shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, the Clinton Public Safety Dispatch Center received a report of an individual in crisis in the area of Lancaster Road, Fox Run and the grounds of the International Golf Course.

Clinton police officers arrived within minutes of receiving the call and established a perimeter around the wooded area, the department reported.

“The Massachusetts State Police K-9 Unit and Clinton Police Drone Unit were immediately requested, along with mutual aid from Lancaster and Bolton Police Departments,” the Clinton Police Department said in a statement. “The State Police Airwing helicopter also responded to the scene a short time later, as well as a contingent of uniformed troopers to assist with the search.”

According to Clinton police, the information provided by the drones and the Massachusetts State Police Airwing helicopter helped officers locate the individual on the property of the International Golf Course.

The individual was transported to a local hospital after being located by police.
