“The individual stated that Catherine [last name redacted] was being harassed by a male named Kevin,” Officer Champagne said. “Dispatch confirmed that [Catherine] has an active restraining order against Kevin Epps. Dispatch confirmed the restraining order in the CJIS system to be active.”
Officer Champagne said dispatch confirmed that the restraining order was active in the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) database.
According to police, Kevin A. Epps, 36, is a resident of 688 Brooks Street, Apt. 3, Clinton, MA.

“I arrived on scene with Officer Brian O’Malley,” Officer Champagne said. “We could hear loud yelling coming from the apartment. We knocked and were met by Catherine [last name redacted], who invited us into the apartment. As we were investigating Catherine’s safety, we located Kevin Epps hiding in a bedroom closet.”
Epps was placed under arrest and charged with:

At approximately 9:05 p.m., while Officers Champagne and O’Malley were inside the apartment, Clinton Police Officer Kristopher Vazquez arrived on scene to assist.

“I went upstairs to the back door of the apartment,” Officer Vazquez said. “The back door to the apartment was open and there was a young child in the doorway who I recognized to be [name redacted, the child is a seven-year-old boy].”
Officer Vazquez said he greeted the boy who informed him that the other officers on scene “arrested Kevin,” and were leaving the apartment.
“[The boy] then ran into the apartment where I heard yelling as if a fight were happening,” Officer Vazquez said. “I clearly heard [the boy] scream ‘STOP’ in a terrified, loud, and shrill voice.”
Officer Vazquez said he entered the apartment through the open door and went in the direction of the yelling.
“There I witnessed [the boy] remove his grandmother, Donna Wheildon away from a male and female party who were by the front door,” Officer Vazquez said.
Officer Vazquez said the male was identified as 23-year-old Jonathan Raymond and he recognized the female to be 27-year-old Catherine [last name redacted].
“While I was investigating the commotion, Catherine reported that Donna had not gotten physical,” Officer Champagne said. “Then, while Jonathan was speaking with me, I heard Donna angrily refute his report by saying, ‘the f*ck I did!’ While stating that, Donna forcefully pushed Jonathan with both of her hands on his chest area. The force of the push caused Jonathan to move backwards several feet.”

According to police, Donna M. Wheildon, 60, is a resident of 688 Brook Street, Apt. 3, Clinton, MA.
“Due to Donna’s aggressive behavior, I immediately grabbed ahold of her right arm and began placing her in handcuffs,” Officer Champagne said. “Donna became enraged at me and immediately began resisting my efforts; however, I was able to maintain my grip and place the handcuffs on her wrists in front of her body. While cuffed in the front, Donna again turned her attention to Jonathan and kicked him I the groin with her right foot. At the time, Donna was wearing a pair of black Sketchers sneakers.”
Officer Champagne said that, during the scuffle, he made multiple attempts over the radio for an additional unit.
“Patrolman O’Malley stated to me afterwards that while he was outside with Kevin, he could hear Donna yelling from the third floor,” Officer Champagne said. “Upon bringing Donna outside, there were three unidentified pedestrians standing in the roadway observing the commotion. Donna continued to use obscene language and berate officers in front of the onlookers.”
Wheildon was placed under arrest and charged with the following:
- Assault & Battery
- Assault & Battery with Dangerous Weapon
- Disorderly Conduct
