At what point are we going to realize we are creating more problems than we are solving?
Weโre spending over $11,000 per second, which is about $1 billion per day.
โ Is it not outrageous weโre spending money to destroy another country rather than using that money to build up our own?
This war of choice is not enhancing national security. Think about it.
We had no evidence that Iran was pursuing a nuclear weapons program. If Trump had evidence, Trump would have presented that to the world. He didnโt. (This was a weaker case for war than Iraq 2003).
โ Is it any wonder why so many of our allies donโt support this war of choice?
If Iran didnโt have a reason to attack the United States homeland, now they certainly do, and it seems an independent assailant already retaliated on March 12 in Bloomfield, Michigan at a synagogue in response to our partnership with Israel in this war of choice. Iran has never attacked the US homeland.
โ How many retaliatory attacks (by Iran or independent assailants) on the homeland are we now going to see because of this war of choice?
Also, a school was bombed killing over 170 innocent little girls. Our president then pointed the finger at Iran when in fact the evidence shows we did it!
โ How many new enemies did that create? How many want revenge?
We killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and now his son (who is thought to be more extreme than his father) has taken over. The son recognizes that if Iran had nuclear weapons, the United States and Israel would not have attacked.
โ Do we not recognize that this war gave this son two reasons to now pursue nuclear weapons? 1) future deterrent, 2) revenge for killing his father.
The 2015 JCPOA was working; the IAEA was inspecting Iranian nuclear energy sites, and there was no evidence there was a weapons program. In 2017, Trump withdrew us from that agreement saying he could negotiate a better deal. He never delivered a better deal.
โ Is it not obvious that the 2015 deal was better than no deal?
And then when it comes time to justify all of this, person after person have said that Iran started this war in 1979 when they took US hostages for 444 days, but they failed to recognize that we actually started this problem with Iran in 1953 when we participated in overthrowing their democratically leader, and then installed a dictator and supported that dictator right up until 1979 when he was removed in the Iranian revolution.
โ Do we not see that we keep messing up with this country?
Oh, and the price of gas went up 25%, so far. Therefore the cost of most goods is going to go up because of the cost of transporting goods has just gone up.
I donโt defend anything Iran does wrong. But two things can be true at the same time. They can be wrong, and we can be wrong.
Trump said he wouldnโt start a foreign war or get involved with regime change or do nation building. He said he would bring prices down. He has done the opposite of what he said he would do.
This is not Trump derangement syndrome. This is bad government administration.
