Bicyclist struck by vehicle in Stow flown to hospital in serious condition

STOW — On Monday, May 4, 2026, at approximately 5:11 p.m., the Stow police and fire departments were dispatched to the area of Sudbury and State roads following multiple 911 calls reporting a collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist.

According to Stow Police Chief Michael Sallese, when Stow police arrived on scene, they located the bicyclist, who had sustained serious injuries. First responders immediately began lifesaving measures.

The bicyclist was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester in serious condition.

Stow police requested assistance from the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Accident Reconstruction Team, which is investigating the crash.

The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, Chief Sallese said.
