MILFORD — A 60-year-old man was arraigned in Milford District Court today on charges connected to the assault of 54-year-old Michael Albro.
According to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr., John J. Bonnell, of Milford, was charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and assault with intent to murder.
Bonnell was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for May 11.
On Friday, May 1, Milford police responded to a call requesting emergency services at the local housing authority following an earlier altercation between Bonnell and Albro, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
Albro, who sustained serious injuries, was transported to UMass Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
The incident remains under investigation by the Milford Police Department and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
