CLINTON — On Thursday, May 28, 2026, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Clinton police officers and Clinton Fire Department firefighter/EMTs responded to Water Street, near its intersection with Centennial Street, after receiving multiple reports of a crash involving a motor vehicle and an e-bike.
According to the Clinton Police Department, two juveniles riding an e-bike crashed into a motor vehicle as the vehicle was turning from Water Street onto Centennial Street.
Both juveniles were evaluated at the scene by Clinton Fire Department firefighter/EMTs before being transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester for treatment of their injuries. Clinton police did not specify the extent of their injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Clinton Police Department, with Clinton Patrol Officer Shane Gilman leading the investigation.
The Clinton Police Department said officers are looking into all facts and information from the scene, including witness accounts, as part of the investigation. The department said responding officers’ first concern Thursday night was ensuring everyone’s safety and the proper treatment of injuries.
“As with any crash, the officers will follow up to address any violations, inappropriate equipment and/or operation, etc. that may have occurred or contributed to the crash,” Clinton police said.
