LANCASTER — Main Street, also known as Route 70, was temporarily closed this morning at the CSX bridge near the Clinton line after an Amazon tractor-trailer became stuck beneath the bridge.
According to a Facebook post from the Town of Lancaster at approximately 9:13 a.m., the road was closed after the truck’s driver failed to heed the truck route and low bridge signage.
The town said Ricky’s Sales & Service was called to the scene to remove the truck and asked drivers to follow the posted detour route while the truck was removed from the roadway.
In an update posted by the town, officials said the road had reopened as of 10:00 a.m.
