WINCHENDON — A Providence, Rhode Island, man wanted in connection with the theft of two ATVs from a Winchendon garage last year was arrested in Rhode Island, according to the Winchendon Police Department.
On Aug. 25, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Winchendon Police Department received a 911 call from a resident who reported that two ATVs had just been stolen from his garage.
The Winchendon Police Department said officers responded immediately, and the homeowners found the ATVs abandoned nearby shortly afterward.
Police canvassed the area but were unable to locate any suspects at the time.
Following an extensive investigation, Detective Caleb Similia identified Eden Miranda, 24, of Providence, Rhode Island, as a suspect, according to the Winchendon Police Department.
An arrest warrant was later issued by Gardner District Court charging Miranda with two counts of larceny of a motor vehicle and breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony.
Winchendon police said they contacted the Providence Police Department for assistance with Miranda’s apprehension.
Miranda was arrested by Providence police on June 25, 2026, and arraigned the following morning at the Garrahy Judicial Complex.
Miranda is being held in Rhode Island pending extradition to Massachusetts, the Winchendon Police Department said.
