BELLINGHAM — At approximately 10:44 p.m. last night, the Bellingham Police Department announced that officers were at the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in the area of Hartford Avenue and North Main Street.
According to Bellingham police, the motorcyclist, who sustained a serious leg injury that is not believed to be life threatening, was transported by medical helicopter to a trauma center in the area for treatment.
The operator of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene following the crash and is cooperating with the investigation, Bellingham police said.
In its statement issued last night, the Bellingham Police Department said traffic was diverted from the area while police conducted a crash reconstruction.
No additional information had been released as of Monday afternoon.
