BOYLSTON — Boylston police are investigating the theft of a vehicle and a subsequent break-in reported at the same Central Street residence within less than a week.
According to Boylston Police Chief John Annunziata, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at approximately 10:10 a.m., Boylston police responded to a residence on Central Street following a report of a stolen motor vehicle.
“Officers and detectives processed the scene and initiated their investigation,” Chief Annunziata said.
On Aug. 4, 2026, detectives recovered the stolen vehicle in Worcester. In a statement issued on Aug. 6, Chief Annunziata said the vehicle was being processed for evidence and the investigation was ongoing.
Then, at approximately 4:15 a.m. on Aug. 5, 2026, Boylston police and detectives responded to the same Central Street residence following a report of a breaking and entering.
“Detectives are actively investigating this incident and following up on leads,” Chief Annunziata said. Adding, “The Boylston Police Department would like to remind our community to remain vigilant by locking vehicles, securing homes, and ensuring that sheds and garages are properly locked.”
Chief Annunziata said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
